Blog #3 - Love and Miss You A Latte
Jackie was on her way to Love You A Latte to read her daily newspaper from the mysterious stranger from the Foxberry. However, during her walk, she could not help but think about the heated discussion with her mother. Jackie hadn't seen her mother in six years, while her mother had the audacity to just show up at her door. But, the thought lingered in the back of her mind of why she showed up in the first place. Maybe it was because of the holidays coming up. She wasn't exactly sure, but deep down she was upset that she couldn't spend Thanksgiving with her mother.
She got her typical black coffee and bagel with cream cheese, which was much better than her's at home, and began to read the newspaper. As she turned the newspaper over, "Mr.Evans mystery is still unsolved" was in big, bold letters, across the front of the newspaper. For Jackie, coming across his name in the newspaper broke her heart a little more than it already was because Mr.Evans and Jackie had been close ever since her arrival to the Foxberry and her fight with her mother. They would meet for a danish and begin to sit on his favorite bench discussing all sorts of matters from her biology class, to thoughts of the world, to her relationship with her mother. He was the only person Jackie could genuinely talk to. Then, he was just gone, dead. Jackie felt as if she needed to help with this awful occurrence. Nobody, especially Mr.Evans deserves to be treated in this manner, so she got up from her table at Love You A Latte and marched to the police station. Jackie wanted answers.
